Who can apply?
Anyone 18 years or older who actively streams on Twitch and/or YouTube. This is also an international opportunity!
What is required of ambassadors?
- Host a personal fundraising stream on their personal Twitch or YouTube channel using the official GDQ charity tool and the Ambassador fundraising overlay. The minimum fundraising time is five hours, including breaks, which can be done in one session or split across multiple streams. The funds raised by the Ambassadors will contribute to Summer Games Done Quick, benefiting Doctors Without Borders (MSF-USA).
- Social promotion of your participation and fundraising on your social channels
- Participate in a feedback session with GDQ and Doctors Without Borders (MSF-USA) to improve and grow the Ambassador program.
- Follow the rules of Games Done Quick.
When do applications close?
Applications close 11:59 PM ET on Sunday April 27th!
When will I know if I'm selected?
We will be sending offers to folks selected to join the Ambassador class by Tuesday, May 13th.
When do we fundraise?
You will coordinate with Games Done Quick to schedule your fundraising stream between June 1st-30th! We want you to have the flexibility to plan a stream that works for you and your community, and be on a date we are able to support your efforts and coordinate promotional posts on social media!
Where does the money I raise go?
The funds raised during Ambassador streams are made to MSF-USA to support their ongoing international efforts. You can learn more about their important work here!

I've never done a fundraiser before, help!
GDQ can help! If you're selected as an Ambassador, we will have best practices and support available to make sure you're comfortable and ready to go for your stream!
How will I fundraise?
GDQ will provide you with the fundraising tools to display on your stream, and you will host a fundraising stream on your own channel with your community!
Can I fundraise for more than 5 hours?
Yes, you absolutely can. You’ll just need to coordinate the additional time or days with us in advance so we can ensure you have proper support from us! 5 hours is just the minimum, but the sky is the limit!
If I’m not selected, could I still fundraise with the GDQ tools?
We’re only able to support the selected Ambassadors at this time.
Do I need to be a speedrunner to qualify?
Not at all! While we love speedrunning, we want Ambassadors to be comfortable with what they love streaming, whether it's games, art, music, or anything in between! This is meant for you to have the creative freedom to create a FUNdraiser. (Get it?)
Are there any benefits for being an SGDQ Ambassador at the event in July?
We're excited to offer 3 days complimentary travel, lodging, and meals as our and MSF-USA’s guests at SGDQ 2025. You'll also receive recognition at SGDQ and social promotion for your stream on GDQ’s channels.
