Preview: Low-downtime migration from Heroku Postgres to Render
Later this year, Render will release a tool to help organizations perform low-downtime migration of data from Heroku Postgres to a Render-managed PostgreSQL database.

Before we release this tool broadly, we'd love to preview it with a few organizations to source feedback. If you're interested in participating, please submit this form! We'll work closely with selected organizations to help ensure a successful, speedy migration.

To qualify for this preview, the Heroku Postgres database you want to migrate MUST:
  • Run PostgreSQL version 13 or later
  • Currently store at least 50 GB of data
