Thank you for applying to be a mentor on BIMA's Mentoring Programme, a key part of our commitment to helping our community develop and grow.

We understand that you are very busy, but our ability to match you with the right mentee starts with the quality of the information we have about you. We ask the mentees to complete a similar form and then use this information to match you. We find that people who put real thought into telling us about themselves are the ones who go on to have the most successful experience, so take your time to fill this in - it should take you 20-30 mins to complete it. The only people who will see this information are the BIMA mentoring council and administration team.

Being a BIMA Mentor is something you should be proud of, and the success of the programme relies on your time and commitment. It’s clear what mentees gain from a mentoring relationship, but mentors also learn a lot and we wanted to make sure you get the very best from this experience.

When you sign up as a mentor you will now be asked to join a 2.5 hour mentors workshop, expertly crafted and delivered by our resident coach, Jason Campbell. This workshop is specifically designed to give both guidance and practical tools to someone new to mentoring and also sharpen up and refresh your mentoring skills if you have done this before. You will be split into small groups of 6 mentors, to engage you in an interactive learning experience and aren't just viewing a presentation from Jason.

Once you complete the training you will not only become a BIMA certified mentor, but you will be equipped with up-to-date mentoring skills to take back into your own teams and use in your everyday communication.
